Having access to social support whether that be from a friend, spouse, family member or community group, is one of the key elements in recovering from any kind of emotional or mental health challenge.

We are social beings so regardless of personality type, being connected to meaningful and supportive relationships has been shown to improve our ability to cope and heal as well as our overall well-being. We all have a role to play in supporting others and being receptive of support. This months topic is intended to highlight the benefits of coming alongside others to support and encourage, starting with our own families including partners/spouses, children, siblings, parents etc and then extending support to friends, acquaintances and the wider community.
